Bill Hunter Joins AFM as Interim Controller
Accounting and Financial Management would like to introduce Bill Hunter, who recently joined Financial and Administrative Services as Interim Controller through March of 2025. Bill will partner with AFM to assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective controls over financial report development. As part of this, he will also provide a general assessment of AFM’s operating procedures and staffing levels. He will also assist with year-end close, including preparation and review of the annual financial report and Deloitte audit requests. As Bill begins his work with AFM, he may reach out to some of you for your input and assistance.
Bill was most recently a Managing Senior Auditor with the State Auditor’s Office where he was assigned to auditing higher education entities of the General Appropriations Act. He brings over thirty years of transferrable experience having audited the State’s Annual Consolidated Financial Report and conducted several university financial audits.
