Reminder: Opt In to Electronic Only Receipt of W-2 Forms
The University strongly encourages all employees to opt-in to electronic only receipt of their 2025 Form W-2. The electronic only form is securely and reliably delivered to you in Workday and helps saves trees. Opt-in for electronic only delivery by following these quick and easy steps. The electronic only Form W-2 will be available in Workday before the paper version must be mailed on January 31, 2026.
Retirement Contributions Notice
Section 603 of the Secure 2.0 Act requires individuals aged 50 and older earning over $150,000 in FICA wages from UT Austin in the prior year to make all catch-up contributions to TSA 403(b) and DCP 457(b) plans as after-tax Roth contributions. Employees who are subject to this requirement and are contributing to one of these voluntary plans on a pre-tax basis do not need to take any action to update their catch-up contributions. The UT Retirement Manager system monitors contributions and will automatically shift contributions to a post-tax basis once the base limit has been met, and catch-up contributions begin. Participating employees must reach the annual base contribution limit before they begin making catch-up contributions. UT Retirement Manager will return contributions to a pre-tax basis once a new tax year begins in January.
Simulate Changes to Pay with Model My Pay - posted 3/5/2024
Model My Pay is a tool within Workday to model hypothetical changes to one’s payslip. Users can make changes to earnings, deductions, and tax elections and run a simulation to view estimated impacts to their payslip. Model My Pay is only an estimate. It is not a comprehensive tool so some earnings and deductions are not available. As a result, accuracy cannot be guaranteed.
Model My Pay can be accessed in Workday by using the search box, using the Pay app, or can be directly accessed when viewing a payslip.
