The 1098-T Form reports qualified educational expenses, such as tuition. The Internal Revenue Service (IRS) requires 1098-T Forms be sent to individuals no later than January 31 of each year. The student's Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) is required for The University of Texas at Austin to issue IRS Form 1098-T. Students may self-report their TIN in the Tax ID System. The TIN may also be updated by downloading and completing the IRS form W-9S and returning it to Student Accounts Receivable.

1098-T Forms may be downloaded from the My IRS 1098-T Tax Form page. For additional information on 1098-T Forms, please contact 1098T@austin.utexas.edu.
