New Mileage Reimbursement Rate Effective 7/1/22
On July 1, 2022 the standard mileage rate for the use of a personal car (including vans, pickups, or panel trucks) will change. The new rate for travel occurring on or after July 1, 2022 shall be:
- 62.5 cents per mile for business miles driven
The rate of 58.5 cents per mile will apply for travel dates prior to July 1, 2022.
Note: The rate of reimbursement is affected by the travel date, not the reimbursement date. Please refer to askUS: https://austin-utexas.custhelp.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/1174/kw/mileage/ for more information.

Fiscal Year-End Processing Deadlines Coming Soon
The Processing Deadlines for Fiscal Year-End entry in the askUS Knowledge Base is being updated as the end of the fiscal year approaches. Entries marked with “updated for 21-22” will have new information as it becomes available.
AFM Celebrates New Hires
AFM has new hires for June and July. Effective July 5, Sydney Neville will be joining Tax Services as a Tax Manager from her previous position as Senior Financial Analyst in Plant Funds. In addition, Basmah Talib will be joining as a Senior Financial Analyst from her previous role as Cash Control Supervisor at the University of Houston.
Jeannie Farahnak rejoined Payroll Services as the new Accountant I on the Financials team as of June 6. Jeannie began her UT journey with the Bureau of Economic Geology in October 2006 and moved to Payroll Services in January 2009 where she worked on the Retirement team for 10 years. Other hires for June are as follows:
