13.2.6. UNCLAIMED PAYCHECKS

Unclaimed paychecks are considered stale dated after 13 months. Payroll Services attempts to notify employees monthly of any unclaimed paychecks. Once a paycheck becomes stale dated, it is voided and submitted to the office of Accounting and Financial Management for escheatment state reporting.

In order for employees to receive a replacement check after an unclaimed paycheck has been voided, a replacement must be requested. For more information about replacement paychecks, please see the Handbook of Business Procedures 13.2.5. Replacement Paychecks or the Payroll Services Web page for Replacement Checks.
