19.5.3. CONSUMER REPORTS

The university does not routinely perform credit checks for purposes of employment. However, this does not limit the university’s authority to conduct a credit report as part of the employment process as permitted by law. If performed, the Fair Credit Reporting Act guidelines would be followed for these checks, and the Summary of Rights and the Texas Summary of Rights would be provided to these applicants.
