7.6.3. ADDITIONAL THRESHOLDS FOR U.S. GOVERNMENT PRIME CONTRACTS

A. Introduction

The University of Texas at Austin is required to follow the guidelines listed below for U.S. Government Prime Contracts. These guidelines are in addition to those listed in the Handbook of Business Procedures, 7.6.2. Cost Reasonableness or Cost/Price Analysis – Federal Grants and U.S. Government Prime Contracts.

B. Documentation Requirements

  • Purchases Greater than $35,000
  • Purchases Greater than $700,000
    • The supplier must certify compliance with any applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) clauses, including Debarment, prior to award.
    • Requesting colleges, schools, and units (CSUs) must contact the HUB/SB Program Office for determination as to whether or not HUB or Small Business opportunities are likely. After conferring with the supplier(s), the HUB/SB Program Office will assist the supplier(s) in establishing goals that promote the procurement of goods and services from qualified firms.
