Financial Fundamentals Self-Paced Course Now Available

Financial Fundamentals is the latest course in the askUS Self-Paced Learning series. The new self-paced course provides anyone new to UT financial systems with the foundational concepts necessary for performing the tasks of a document initiator, approver, or viewer of financial-related data.

Lessons begin with account structures and take learners through documents, authorizations, and other topics. Financial Fundamentals even includes introductory lessons on using *DEFINE. While lessons present information at an introductory level, experienced users may find individual lessons helpful as a knowledge refresher.

For more information on this course, please visit the Financial Fundamentals page. For updates and information on other financial training, please visit the Financial Systems Training Session page.

TRS Employee Contribution Changes

The TRS employee contribution rate will increase from 7.7% to 8.0% for all eligible employees beginning with the September 1, 2021 pay check.  This rate increase was approved during the 2019 Texas Legislative Session and includes a rate increase each year until 2024 when both the employee and employer rate will be 8.25%.

Costing Allocation Deadline – August 31st

All costing allocation changes must reach final approval in Workday by noon on August 31st in order for the corresponding cost transfer to be processed in the current fiscal year.  Any costing allocation changes final approved after this deadline will be included in cost transfers processed on Tuesday, September 7th as a prior year cost transfer.
