Encumbrance Documentation Provides Guidance on the Process, Issues, and Solutions



Changes and differences that came as a part of the launch of Workday have been impacting how and when encumbrances and disencumbrances were hitting DEFINE accounts as a result of actions taken in Workday. AFM has published three new documents that provide insight and guidance into the process and timing of encumbrances, differences between encumbrances before Workday and with Workday, and a list of known issues and the solutions.

 


New Guidance Page on the AFM Website Hosts Newly Developed Training and Resources



AFM has launched a new Workday Financial Transaction Guidance page to host all of the new guidance being developed to help financial professionals understand the DEFINE and Workday eco-system. Any guidance published in this newsletter that is associated with Workday will also be hosted on this page for reference.

 


Cost Center Manager Can Now Update Costing Allocations for Past Positions in Workday

Cost Center Managers (CCMs) now have the ability to update costing allocations in Workday for past positions as needed without the need to coordinate with other departments to provide access.
