FAS Leadership:
Vice President and Chief Information Officer Chris Sedore is pursuing an opportunity with Tufts University. His last day with UT Austin will be August 2.
Chris joined UT Austin last year to lead our information technology (IT) efforts, including the continued development and delivery of customer-focused IT solutions. In his time here, he worked with the community to enhance our wireless environment (and eliminate student fees for wireless bandwidth), developed a collaborative governance model with the distributed IT community, and set ITS on a positive course for the future.
Before joining UT Austin, Chris spent nearly 30 years in higher education in the Northeastern United States, including 25 years with Syracuse University.
“Texas welcomed me with open arms, and I’m glad for the opportunity to work with the incredibly talented people at UT,” Chris said. “The dedication here runs strong. I am confident ITS and the broader IT community will continue its critical work on behalf of the university’s research and educational mission.”
