Increasing Security Across UT’s 300,000 Wi-Fi Enabled Devices Starting May 22

On May 22, additional firewall protection will extend to more than 300,000 individual devices within the university’s network. There won’t be any difference for most students, faculty and staff, except they will now be better protected. If situations arise where the firewall blocks activities between your devices over Wi-Fi, please visit this help page. A campus-wide email will go out to all students, faculty and staff later in March and will include links to help resources.
